Why we built Hussteer
Another piece of software? No. The story of what made up our minds, and what we refuse to do.

There is a question rarely put to property software vendors, and it should be the first one: how many times does an agency type the same piece of information?
Count. The property address goes into the CRM. It is retyped into the agreement. It goes out again in the listing. It is copied onto three portals. It reappears on the viewing slip, then the report, then the file sent to the solicitor. Seven times, for one address. And the agency paid for four subscriptions to do it.
What decided us
The market is not short of software. It is short of software that talks to itself. Each tool is fine in its own lane — the CRM handles contacts, the agreements module produces documents, the distributor sends to portals — and each treats what happens before and after as none of its business.
The result is agencies spending their days doing the stitching. Copy, paste, check, correct twice because the correction did not follow. That work appears on no job description, and it takes up a considerable share of the week.
We did not build Hussteer because a piece of software was missing. We built it because a place was missing.
One record, many uses
The principle fits in one line: information is entered once, and serves wherever it is useful.
A property enters the portfolio. The agreement promotes it without copying it. The listing is written from it. Viewings attach to it. Distribution starts from its record. Correcting the price happens in one place, and everything that depends on it knows.
That is not a technical feat. It is an architectural decision, taken at the start and held to since: refusing to let a record exist in two copies.
What we refuse to do
A product is defined as much by what it forbids itself. Three rules hold us, and they regularly cost us a commercial shortcut.
- No demo screens. If a feature is not wired up, it does not appear in the product — not even as a clickable mock-up.
- No approximate figures. The time saved shown on your dashboard is the sum of automations that actually ran, not an estimate. Until there are any, it says “unavailable”.
- No promises about what we do not have. We are certified neither ISO 27001 nor SOC 2, and our Security page says so before you have to ask.
These rules have a cost. They make product pages less flattering and demos less impressive. They also have an upside: what you see is what you get.
On artificial intelligence
We use it, and we try not to make it an argument. Hussteer's AI writes a listing, reviews an agreement, matches a buyer to a property, pulls fields out of a dictated sentence. Every time, it proposes and you approve.
That choice is not for show. Software that saves straight away whatever it thinks it understood eventually publishes a price out by a zero. The gain is not taking control away from you: it is sparing you the blank page.
Who it is for, and who it is not
Hussteer is built for agencies that sell, not for groups that manage agencies. Tenancy sits with the agency: one subscription, one portfolio, a team seeing the same properties, the same clients, the same calendar.
If you are looking for multi-brand reporting, that is not us. If you are looking to stop typing the same address seven times, that is exactly why we started.
Less software. More property.
